Elizabeth was out of preschool this last week for Summer break. Most large companies and even small businesses have either last week or take this week off as part of their Summer rest time. She was also assigned some homework to do over break. Can you imagine a two year being assigned homework? Education is taken very seriously here in Korea. In procrastination style, we did all the homework the night before it was due. When I received the homework packet last week, I thought it would be fun to do one page a day. Well, the days flew by playing outside and eating ice cream.
Drawing seeds on a watermelon and folding an origami boat. After each fold, she circled that instruction on the page. Amazing that she can draw circles of different sizes and meet the beginning and end of those lines. She did the circles on her own, I did not direct her to do this!
After folding the boat together, she decided that she needed to do more folding on her own.
Coloring in raindrops with marker and then spritzing it with water to create puddles and droplets.
Coloring in vegetables and meats, cutting them out, then gluing it onto a skewer. Mommy did the cutting, but Elizabeth did all the coloring and gluing herself.
A picture of how you spent your family vacation. Elizabeth used up almost an entire glue stick preparing it to stick to the paper frame. She loves arts and crafts! -S
은지 공부 잘하겠다.
