Happy Two Months Vincent!

Happy two months to our Vincent!  This morning, Vincent and I went to his 8:00AM doctor's appointment.  When we left the house, Daddy and Elizabeth were sound asleep.  We usually awake in this Chang household at 8:30AM.  We snuck out quietly and went to see the doctor on base.  Based on the two month questionnaire, babies at this age should be able to mimic some sounds, movements and smiles.  We have yet to see much of this, but the doctor was not too concerned as all babies develop on their own schedule and boys can be a bit delayed compared to girls.  However, his neck muscles are strong and he can move his head well to look and follow things in his sight line.  Since his birth, Vincent has grown half his weight!

At birth: 8lbs 8oz, 20.75 inches long, 14.5 inches head circumference

At two months: 12lbs 13oz, 22.8 inches long, 16.2 inches head circumference

Also at two months are his immunization shots.  Since I am deathly scared of needles, I opted not to get him immunized today.  We'll do it later in the week when Daddy can accompany us.

On the way home, we picked up a small Paris Baguette cake to celebrate Vincent's two months of life.  Elizabeth sang him a song, blew out his candles and nearly ate all the cake.  Daddy and Mommy had just a small bite. -S
