Even though the resort was right by the beach, it still had a pool. It didn't have a kiddie pool, but it was divided into sections with the shallowest part being about 2.5 ft deep. Elizabeth could stand in the pool with the waterline up to her chin if she wanted to, but obviously it was best to have one of us with her. She started out by just kicking her feet on the side of the pool. Then, I got her to leave the edge and take a dip while I was holding her. She didn't really like it when the water got above her waist though, so I had to lift her up and put her back on the pool edge. We did this a few times and then she went back to just kicking the water. I think she was generally afraid of going into the pool so she was having a hard time. However, she did enjoy "shuffling" her feet in the water and splashing with her hands. So much that every time we walked by the pool she wanted to stick her feet in. Considering that the pool was right by the dining area, it happened a lot. -T
